1st Jumper Foal in the US & 1st Jumper Foal in Canada
Osgoode, Ontario -The stallions of de Wiemselbach have confirmed their
ranking as top producers to breeders in both the United States and Canada
following a victorious showing of their offspring at the KWPN-NA keuring tour
held at the end of September.
Carte
Blanche SCF, a stunning colt by Lupicor
and out of Wildcard SCF Prov Keur (Goodtimes X Silvio 1 Elite Pref) is the 1st
Ranked Jumper Foal in North America, and the 1st Ranked Jumper Foal in the
United States. Contessa LWS, an exquisite filly by Numero
Uno and out of a keur Nimmerdor mare is the 1st Ranked Jumper Foal in Canada
and holds the 3rd spot in North America.
Numero Uno was also represented by Ammeretto (out of a keur Goodtimes mare)
owned by Equine Holdings, in the Two Year Old Jumper Bred division with a 2nd
place tie in the North American standings. Cavalier (formerly shown by Franke
Sloothaak under the name of San Patrignano Mister) is sire to Alma (owned by
Silver Creek Farms) who finished 4th in the same division
Carte Blanche SCF, is bred and owned by 2006 KWPN-NA Breeder's of the Year,
Dr. Carlos and Karin Jimenez of Sporting Chance Farm in Coatesville,
Pennsylvania. Their first premium colt received excellent compliments on his
type, movement and conformation. He was called back into the Championship Ring
and named Reserve Champion. "We are absolutely thrilled," remarked
Karin Jimenez following the release of the official top 5 list from the KWPNNA.
"Carte Blanche SCF is a dream come true."
Contessa LWS, bred and owned by Longwood Stables located in Osgoode, Ontario
"embodies everything that breeders strive for," said Tracy Holmgren.
"She has a phenomenal character, is an athletic, balanced mover and is
strikingly beautiful." Contessa LWS received rave reviews from both the
jury and spectators alike at the Prima Equestrian Center keuring, and along with
her 1st Premium designation and class win, was named Best Young Horse defeating
weanlings, yearlings and two year old Jumper Bred horses.
"We are delighted by the performance of our stallion's offspring in
North America," said Daan Horn of de Wiemselbach. "It is a goal of all
mare and stallion owner's to have offspring make the top 5 list in North
America, but to have the 1st ranked jumper foals in both the United States and
Canada in the same year is truly momentous."

Big loss for breeding and De Wiemselbach
Last Saturday night, the approved KWPN stallion Lupicor died as a
result of colic. A big loss for breeding and also for stud farm De
Wiemselbach.
Lupicor (Lux Z x Pilot x Cor de la Bryere) was born in 1995 in the
south of Holland to the well-known Pilot daughter Jourdette S. At age two
he was approved in Westfalen and there stood at stud before returning to
de Wiemselbach in 2001. The talented Lux son competed successfully at
national competitions and the KWPN stallion competition, after which he
was approved by the KWPN. After his successful international sport career,
Lupicor grew into a breeding stallion of world class.
Beside many successful offspring from his Westfalen days, Lupicor was
also able to put his stamp on jumper breeding in Holland, siring many
champions at foal keuringen as well as at mare- and stallion inspections.
During the Central Mare Keuringen Lupicor was down as the sire of many
star and keur mares. Mares that scored very high in free jumping with high
points for the canter, reflexes and take-off.
Lupicor offspring in sport are regularly in the news. In 2007, stallion
Wizzard van de Silverhoeve (Lupicor x Voltaire x Nimmerdor) won the finals
of the KWPN/Stal Hendrix Competition, placed second during the National
Jumping Championship for 4-Yr Old Jumpers and recently won the stallion
competition in Hengelo. The 7 year olds Lady Luna, Lara Joy II en de 7
year old Lupicat won several international jumping competitions for young
horses last year. The 8 year old Levito (ds Indorado) made his debut in
international jumping last year.
Through the 2006 KWPN Stallion Show Jumping Champion L’Esprit
(Lupicor x Landgraf I), the valuable Lupicor genes will still be available
for breeding. There is still a limited quantity of good quality frozen
Lupicor semen available.

Dutch breeding indexes
Jourdette S, mother of our
internationally reknowned stallion Lupicor
has been placed 5th in the Dutch breeding indexes for showjumping mares.
Jourdette S herself competed internationally in the jumper ring.
Among the best 25 mares, 4 are by Libero
H, a great achievement considering the few offspring of this famous
stallion.
Lupicor offspring
wins KWPN Hendrix competition
Wizzard van de Silverhoeve, a
stallion by Lupicor
out of a Voltaire x Nimmerdor mare convincingly won the KWPN Hendrix
competition for 4 year old horses in Sevenum, Holland.
The beautiful dark bay stallion was
presented by rider Mark Martens and received a score of 8.8 for jumping
technique and 8.5 for ride-ability. These high marks resulted in an impressive
overall win for Wizard. Our congratulations go to his breeder S. Swierstra and
owner C. van de Boogaard.
In the 5 year old competition it
was once again an offspring of de Wiemselbach that claimed success. In this
competition, Thijs Meulenmeesters lead his stallion Vykarlos (Numero
Uno x Holland) to victory. The jury awarded a score of 8.4 for jumping and
8.5 for rideability.

Lupicor-H was approved in Westfalen
when he was two years old, where he stood at stud before he returned to
Stal de Wiemselbach at the end of 2001.
This talented son of Lux made a very successful entrance into the
stallion competition sport, and after very convincing performances at
Den Bosch and Ermelo, he was accepted by the KWPN. His sire, Lux Z, was
bred at Stoeterij Zangersheide and had a series of wins throughout his
sports career with Jerry Smit. The duo took part at the Sydney Olympic
Games and won at the Pulsar Crown competitions at Valkenswaard and
Cannes, amongst others.
Lupicor-H is a product of the successful stud farm of the Schroembges
family where he was foaled by the 'keur' awarded mare, Jourdette S, a
daughter of the Westfalen jumping horse progenitor, Pilot.
His dam, Jourdette S, has a very rewarding career in jumping at national
1.40m level with Dave Maarse. The mare has an outstanding technique and
is also very careful. The approved stallion, Pitcher S, who also entered
the national jumping sport, is the full brother of Jourdette S. The
same dam line also yielded the international show jumper, El Padrino
(Jasper) of Hansueli Sprunger and the KWPN stallion, Lester (Lancer II).
Already during his first year in Westfalen, Lupicor-H sired the approved
stallion, Lenardo, the performance champion of Westfalen.
Lupicor-H also has an above average collection of offspring who without
exception have shown excellent movement and very convincing jumping
behaviour.
At the Westfalen Championships:
4 year olds: 1st and 2nd place for Lupicor's progeny
5 year olds: 1st place for Lupicor's progeny
Lupicor offspring came in the top three of the Damhus Bauer City Cup.
METELEN – The KWPN-approved Lupicor (Lux x Pilot) is renowned
in Germany for his siring. Lupicor descendants came first, second and
third in the Dambus Bauer City Cup, a show jumping competition for four
to six year old Westfalen-bred jumpers.
The competition consisted of four qualification rounds with its final
round in Metelen. The best four year old jumper was the mare Lualdi (Lupicor
x Fleurop) with Florian Karns. She scored an 8.6 for her jumping
technique and movement between hurdles.
The mare Lana Joy (Lupicor x Dänenkönig) came second with an 8.5. She
was also ridden by Florian Karns. Luc Skywalker, under Henning Schulte
Geldermann, came third to complete Lupicor's success.
By winning the Damhus Bauer City Cup finals, Karns and Lualdi were
awarded an extra bonus of 500.00 €. This was offered to the most
successful combination of the entire series in which a total of 172
horses took part.
Lupicor now jumps at top level under Marco Kutscher.
