UPDATE!!!!!!!!

WINGS (VDL Orame X Nova Keur) is in training in Adamstown, PA, and we are looking for a very special kind of owner for her. She should be a FABULOUS showjumper/hunter first, and then an incredible foundation for a top jumper breeding program later. She is an EXCEPTIONAL jumper and loves it! We have free jumped her a few times and the photos are on our website. Wing's is also an EXCELLENT  mover, and was third at Dressage at Devon as a foal! She is appx. 16.2 (at 3 yrs of age) and has EXCELLENT and correct conformation. Wings is very quiet and not at all spooky and was very very easy to break. She is green (walk, trot, canter and starting x-rails) but QUIET enough for just about anybody to ride.

Wings was 3rd out of ~ 40 at DAD 2003 . All SCF horses ribboned at the most prestigous Dressage Breed Show in the country!

Dutch Mare foaled 1995 Bay 16' Star, Keur

Nova is a talented mare with excellent bloodlines. She is a full sister to the Approved stallion, Judgement, who won the 1999 American Gold Cup with Michael Matz. Nova has three lovely gaits and is very smart. This mare is schooling first level dressage and is very talented over fences. She is jumping 3'6 - 3'9" courses with great form. Nova does automatic lead changes and has the talent to be a successful show hunter or jumper.

NOVA'S DAM :

Faletta was bred and born in Holland by G. Kuipers.

She was purchased as a yearling (1 ½ yr-old) by Mary Alice/ISF and brought to the states.

She went to her studbook inspection in 1990 and got Studbook Ster.

She had five Consul offspring the first being Judgement (1991) who was the #1 Top Ten yearling in 1992, #4 Top Ten 2 year-old in 1993 and Licensed in 1994.

Karnival (1992) was #9 Top Ten foal of 1992 and #4 (tie) 2 year-old in 1994.

Masquerade (1994) was accepted for Studbook and Ster in 1997.

Nova (1995) was accepted for Studbook and Ster and was #1 in the IBOP in 1999.

Faletta was humanly euthanized in the summer of 1999.

She was posthumously given her Preferent predicate in the fall of 1999 (Judgement, Masquerade and Nova).

Nova's full brother is the Grand Prix Jumper Judgement!

Judgement and Beezie Madden won the Million Dollar CN International at the Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament. The starting field was 47 horses and the event offers the riches Grand Prix purse in the world.

Beezie said in an interview with Ken Krauss of Towerheads.com that this is her biggest win ever, which is high praise from an Olympic medallist. She describes Judgement as a power jumper who is fast, versatile and capable in many types of conditions. Ken Krauss is certainly a Judgement fan, and has been for some time. He said "...real quietly Judgement is... becoming one of the great horses of all time." Judgement is the first USA bred and born winner of this event.

From: Ironspring@ccis.net

Today we have exciting news from Holland about our stallion, Judgement ISF.  We have been informed by the KWPN that Judgement ISF is now a recognized KWPN breeding stallion.   When a stallion is approved for breeding by the NA/WPN, the stallion is approved for breeding only in North America and is not recognized as approved in Holland

Judgement, ridden by Beezie Madden, has an impressive international jumping record.  In 2004 Judgement was ranked 34th  on the  FEI WBFSH World Ranking List – For Jumping Horses.  At the time of the ranking he was the highest placed approved NA/WPN stallion. Since 2001 Judgement under Beezie’s guidance has earned over $400,000 and won numerous Grand Prix show jumping events.

This means that Judgement’s foals born in Holland will be put in the main foal book instead of Register A.  This is quite an honor for  Judgement ISF and Iron Spring farm.  Judgement is the 1st , and at this time only USA bred and born stallion to be recognized in this way.   Normally if a stallion wants to be accepted for breeding in the Netherlands they must be presented to the KWPN Stallion committee in Holland and then if selected they must complete a “short test” so that they can be fully evaluated by the committee before they are recognized as approved for breeding by the KWPN.

Judgement Joins USET Jumping Teams

The USET, Gladstone NJ, announced the Show Jumping Teams for the Samsung Nations Cup World Final in Madrid, Spain, September 20-23, 2001. The team consists of 2000 Olympic Show Jumping teammates Margie Goldstein-Engle riding Hidden Creek's Perin; Lauren Hough riding Windy City and alternate Todd Minikus riding Oh Star and Beezie Patton Madden riding Iron Spring Farm's, Judgement [by Consul]. This same team will compete at the CSIO Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada, September 5-9, 2001. McLain Ward of Brewster, NY and Alison Firestone of Upperville, VA are alternates. George Morris will serve as Chef d'Equipe. The riders were selected according to their ranking on the July 27,2001 USET Show Jumping Computer List. See Judgement's Show results and other statistics.

The NAWPN approved stallion Judgement (Consul x Akteur) has recently been quite successful in America and Canada.  Now on European soil the stallion bred and raised by Iron Spring Farm has been giving some outstanding performances.  Beezie Madden rode Judgement to sixth place in Ascona.  The previous world champion seven year old Ilian (Zuidhorn x Elan xx) was the fourth  KWPN-er in the top ten.  Schuyler Riley rode the bay gelding to ninth place

"Judgement (Consul x Akteur), owned and bred by Iron Spring Farm was awarded the Crown Predicate for his international performance record. A presentation will be made at the 2002 Annual Meeting. "

2006 Indoctro Filly Bellara

In Nov 2005, we purchased a foal in utero from Carlos & Karin Jimenez of Sporting Chance Farm. A year and a half later, we have a fantastic yearling filly (Indoctro x Consul x Akteur), whose full brother, Zenith VDL,  made it to the second round of the stallion selections in Holland, Feb 2007. "Bellara" has a wonderful temperament; very curious, playful, intelligent and brave. She handled the very long trip home to Alberta Canada (over 2300 miles and 3-1/2 days) very well.

The Jimenez's have been very successful with their breeding program, not compromising on anything. All their offspring are very well bred and very successful in the show ring. If you browse their website, you will see for yourself.

If you are looking for a horse for sport or a horse for your breeding program, look here first. Jimenez's are very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Akteur

photo of Akteur

Akteur NWP (Amor Sgldt x Sinaeda NWP). After a splendid career as an international show jumper until 19 years over 1.50/1.60 meter height obstacles, the Groninger stallion Akteur showed brilliant gaits at the stallion selection 1983. We knew at that time that Akteur breeded international sport talent.

Nevertheless the stallion inspection committee of the KWPN disapproved Akteur, because he - in their opinion - is not suited for the improved stock-breeding. Thank to the self-willed re-inspection committee (which was dismissed by the KWPN-board after that immediately) Akteur was approved again as stallion. After that he bred very many good show jumpers and dressagehorses. (photo Akteur in 1983 at the age of 19 years, after his heavy sport career).

Lucky Boy contributed to Dutch sport horse breeding by contributing a string of top jumpers to the international scene. Sire of Calypso who finished second in the 1980 World Cup final and then followed that up two years later with a victory in the 1982 final in Göteborg.
Lucky Boy sired 16 stallion sons, the most famous of which was Octrooi, who had a successful career in the USA under the name, Best of Luck. Interestingly, he was out of a mare by yet another Thoroughbred sire, Koridon. Also there was Willi Melliger`s Van Gogh, and The Freak with Hugo Simon and later Dirk Hafemeister, and Anne Kursinski`s Medrano, and all three of them were in Los Angeles for the 1984 Olympic Games.
