**Wildcard SCF Elite (Goodtimes X Silvio 1 Elite Pref) won the Broodmare class at the most Prestigious Dressage Breed Show in the USA, Dressage at Devon! 2007 Dressage at Devon Presented by WTDirect Wildcard
SCF is Top American Bred at 2007 Dressage at Devon Breed Competition
Wildcard was one of many fabulous looking horses born in America and showing at Devon this year. And those horses reminded breeders and spectators alike that not every quality horse comes from Europe. Sporting Chance Farm owners Karin and Carlos Jimenez, based near Devon in Coatesville , Pennsylvania , couldn’t be happier with their Devon victory. Karin Jimenez said the couple has competed at Devon every year for the past 16 years. “But we’ve never gone all the way. We’ve been the winner of lots of classes, were reserve champion of Born in the U.S.A. a few years ago, but never went all the way to the top.” Jimenez said that what made this year an exception is that Wildcard “is just an amazing mare.” Success for the breeding farm has also come from a collaborative team, she said. “My husband keeps everyone healthy and happy. We have a good trainer and I’m the media person and website designer.”
Jimenez sends her thanks to all the sponsors of the Born in the U.S.A. program “because breeding can be a thankless task and this makes it all worth it.” Looking at Wildcard, Jimenez most surely feels all her family’s work as breeders paid off. “This horse has potential,” she said of the mare. “She’s great for a professional but has such a great mind and temperament that anybody can ride her. That kind of combination is so rare. A lot of time the fancy gaited horses are hot and need professionals to ride. Wildcard is actually quiet enough for anybody but has that presence that makes her extra special.”
Judge Hilda Gurney gave her the incredible score of an 85%, which was good enough to win the USA Champion of the Dressage at Devon Horse Show! She is seen below with her Lupicor colt, Carte Blanche SCF.
Prov Keur (Goodtimes X Silvio 1 X Sit This One Outxx X Saluut) was Res. Champion KWPN (3 yrs and older)!!!! The champion was the imported mare Rabiola (Metall) owned and imported by Iron Spring Farm who was GRAND CHAMPION OF DAD! There were 17 horses in this very competitive class!

Second at DAD 2004 and Fair Hill 2004 ,Ribbon Winner at DAD 2003 Out of Marie Louise Elite Preferent Sporting Chance Farm (SCF) imported her with the help of the Nijhof's in 2000. She is by the highly regarded Sandro Z son, Silvio 1, best known as the sire of the World Class Showjumper, "Shutterfly" ridden by Meredith Micheals Beerbam, and as a producer of type and talent. Marie Louise Elite Preferent's dam line is a very successful one which goes back to a very important mare in the KWPN "Roosmarie" who is listed as one of the most influential mares in the Netherlands. This motherline is responsible for more than 15 Appr. Stallions and a lot of good Sport Horses such as Ihorn, Glenn, Goldster, and Bockmans Exile.
Marie Louise Elite Preferent herself was Champion of her Keuring in Holland, and was invited to the National Mare Show at Ermelo where she finished Fifth. She then went on to do an excellent 30 day "Mare Test" where she achieved marks such as an 8.5 for her walk, and 8's for jumping etc., with no score lower than a 7.3. She is a true "All Around horse". Marie's first daughter in the Netherlands, Thekla Marie by Metall (now Keur Elite herself), was Reserve Champion of her Keuring, was invited just like her mother to Ermelo, and then went on to WIN her Mare Performance Test in the Netherlands! Thekla Marie has had two very succesful foals herself, with her Florencio filly. Zenia Marie being named the CHAMPION KWPN filly in England. Thekla Marie's Sandro Hit colt Cest la Vie, just sold last month at the Prestigious Borculo auction for 23,000 Euros. Marie's first American conceived daughter, Wildcard Prov Keur (Goodtimes VDL), was shown very successfully in hand at the USDF shows AND in Hunter Breeding. She was the Winner of the Hunter Breeding Yearling Futurity (among other HB wins), and then was awarded the "Best Mover (dressage)" award at the Iron Spring Farm Keuring in 2006. She then went on to be awarded her "Provisional Keur", and finished fourth in the USA for both Movement AND Jumping on the Top Ten List for the KWPN-NA. Also in 2006 Wildcard won the USDF KWPN 3 year old Filly Materiale (US) Horse of the Year Championship. She was also second under saddle at DAD in the Materiale classes in 2006. Wildcard went on to WIN the Dressage at Devon Broodmare class in 2007 with an 85% which earned her the USA Bred Born in the USA High Score Championship at DAD! Wildcard's first (and only) foal Carte Blanche SCF (by Lupicor) was the Top Scoring Jumper foal at the Iron Spring Farm Keuring. Widcard, like her dam, is truly an "All Around" athlete..... Marie Louise's son Zulft (Ulft Keur) has won numerous Championships and Awards including 2006 USDF Horse of the Year Championship (Res CH for 2005), many Breed Show Championships including the Res. Champion Born in the USA High Point award at DAD as a foal, and then after numerous Top Ten placings at the KWPN-NA Keurings, was awarded his Ster and the "Best Dressage Horse" Award at the ISF Keuring in 2007. Marie Louise's other offspring include Breed Show Champions, and many First Premiums for horses like Wartimes (Goodtimes), Bleu (Balou du Rouet), Bravo (Indoctro Pref), Cest la Vie (Balou du Rouet) etc. Marie Louise's offspring have also won her Produce of Dam classes. Her offspring, although still young, have sold to Grand Prix professionals in both the Dressage, and the Show Jumping Arenas, where they are cherished for their athleticism AND wonderful temperaments and desire to please. Cavalier (formerly shown by Franke Sloothaak under the name of San Patrignano Mister) is sire to Alma (owned by Silver Creek Farms) who finished 4th in the same division Carte Blanche SCF, is bred and owned by 2006 KWPN-NA Breeder's of the Year, Dr. Carlos and Karin Jimenez of Sporting Chance Farm in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Their first premium colt received excellent compliments on his type, movement and conformation. He was called back into the Championship Ring and named Reserve Champion. "We are absolutely thrilled," remarked Karin Jimenez following the release of the official top 5 list from the KWPNNA. "Carte Blanche SCF is a dream come true." Contessa LWS, bred and owned by Longwood Stables located in Osgoode, Ontario "embodies everything that breeders strive for," said Tracy Holmgren. "She has a phenomenal character, is an athletic, balanced mover and is strikingly beautiful." Contessa LWS received rave reviews from both the jury and spectators alike at the Prima Equestrian Center keuring, and along with her 1st Premium designation and class win, was named Best Young Horse defeating weanlings, yearlings and two year old Jumper Bred horses. "We are delighted by the performance of our stallion's offspring in North America," said Daan Horn of de Wiemselbach. "It is a goal of all mare and stallion owner's to have offspring make the top 5 list in North America, but to have the 1st ranked jumper foals in both the United States and Canada in the same year is truly momentous."
